Last Wednesday in Paris

Right now I'm in Rouen, which is 1hr from Paris. I don't have classes today or tomorrow because of May Day, so we decided to go for a weekend escape to Rouen.
I forgot my camera, so I'll post some pictures of what I did last week.  More updates to come soon.
Last Wednesday, I met up with my friend Stephanie. Adore this girl, she's from Arizona and goes to ASU. I'm sooo coming down there to visit next semester when I'm back in California. Anyhow, we went window-shopping at Printemps. Amazing department store here in Paris. The clothes, bags, shoes, jewelry are divine. For a late lunch, we went to Le Marais(the Jewish area in Paris) and had falafels. It was soo good, but sooo filling. My stomach was full for the rest of the day.

Thursday, I went  to see the gardens at Versailles. Such an amazing garden. Had lunch by Marie Antoinette's house at Angelina. They're famous for their hot chocolate, so I had to try it. And yes, it was yummy!

Now, I'm off to do some sightseeing in Rouen. Tudels!!

Wednesday's outfit.. It was raining, so felt like going for the classic Parisian black outfit.

Goood morning! No french class today=day off to enjoooy!

Good morning! It's Wednesday and I have no french classes this week, so I have the whole day off. I've slept in, started my day with a cup of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal while watching an episode of GCB. Love that show, if you haven't watched it yet-DO SO!  Charlene's brother is sooo hot, right?  Now, I'm off for a run at the park nearby. The weather is grey and rainy here in Paris. Still waiting for the sun to come out again so I can enjoy picnics by the Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur etc.
Today, I'm meeting up with my friend Stephanie.
A bientot!

Woke up to this view today

However, I wish I could wake up to this.....

Breakfast

Feel like wearing an outfit like this today.

The black scarf

As you know, Parisians are famous for their fashion especially when it comes to dressing in black. You see people dressed in black all year around in this capital of fashion. I have always loved scarves, I just can never get enough of them. I remember at one point my mother telling me that I should start designing scarves since I was so determined on how a scarf should look like etc, lol.
Here in Paris, I have come to love my black scarf.. the only problem is that I have started a bad habit of losing all my black scarves... at clubs. what can I say? haha.
In Paris you will see tourist shops selling souvenirs, postcards, and lets not forget scarves for 4 euros or even better 3 for 10 euros. It's the real deal right there, haha. In the beginning, I was looking for that perfect black scarf that was not too thick or too thin, and just the right size. I was determined not to buy one of those cheap ones for 4 euros, so I bought  a nicer looking one for 30 euros. 1 week later, I manage to leave this at a club... so I bought another one, this time the 4 euro one. Was actually quite satisfied with it until I lost it at another club this weekend.  So having 3 as my lucky number, I bought my 3rd black scarf in Paris today.  Just hope that this one will go home with me to Norway in 3 weeks time.

So that was my story of today.... Other than that I spent my day at school having my last lecture in International marketing followed by going up to the top of Arc de triomphe. Great view of the city! Strolled around Champs Elysées eating a delicious macaron from my favorite macaron place: Pierre Hermé.

A tribute to Paris

Today, I want to dedicate a blogpost to the beautiful city that I have called my home since January 23rd. It's exactly 4 weeks left of my exchange program here, it's so bizarre how time has gone so fast, yet it seems like I have been here a long time. But it's important to enjoy and make the fullest out of the time left. It's definitely an experience I will always remember.
Going to a pre-departure meeting today at my exchange program agency, and I still have to work on my school project.

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Sunday - time to catch up on some schoolwork..

Happy Sunday! Yet another week has past, and it's just a little over a month left of my Parisian journey. I've actually managed to cross out some museums that's been on my to-do list way too long. Went to Pompidou on Wednesday, and Musée d'Orsay on Thursday. Yesterday, I spent the afternoon at the Louvre. Now, I'm heading back to the Pompidou Center to catch up on some schoolwork, they have a great library there.

Isabel Marant ready-to-wear S/S'12

One of my favorite designers, Isabel Marant, has yet again designed an amazing spring/summer collection. The baseball inspired t-shirt is already been tagged as a "must-have" item for the season. I love how she creates a rougher but still chic look. The acid look is also I look that I like, I remember buying a pair of acid colored jeans in 2009. Good thing I kept them, because they are definitely coming out this Spring. Love the Isabel Marant sneakers too, they create such a cool vibe to an outfit.  J'adore, j'adore, j'adore.
Right now, I'm spending the afternoon at the library at the Pompidou Center. Trying to get some work done on my term project in International Business. We're exporting a product to two different continents. Our product is really interesting, I will reveal it later.
Soon I'm off to Musée d'0rsay with two friends from NYC. Pictures will come tomorrow.

The sneakers, here on model Miranda Kerr. Love how she put together this outfit.

I'm back! I've been so bad at updating lately, sorry. Times flying and lot of stuff going on. Spring is finally here in Paris, and I love it. The city is so beautiful during this time. Met up with my parents at the Canary Islands for Springbreak. It was so nice, and the weather was great. Finally got to feel the sun on my body again. Last week, my dear, dear friend from Norway was back in Paris. Had a great couple of days with her. We went and saw the Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs exhibition one of the days.  Went on a weekend trip to Val de Loire and saw some amazing castles, and lets not forget about the wine tasting. Sooo goood! This week has been a good one, on Thursday I went to the Drake concert. Friday I had a wine picnic by the Sacre Coeur. Yesterday, went to this cute cakeshop "Sugarplum" and had cake and green tea. Dinner at Chartier, and today I had a picnic at Jardin de Luxembourg.  No school tomorrow, so gonna enjoy my Monday.
