Last weekend in Europe for awhile, I'm taking my friends to Sweden

First of all, IT'S FRIDAY! It's my last weekend in Europe for awhile, moving back to California on Tuesday. So, I'm taking my closest friends to my parents summerhouse in Sweden for a girls-weekend!
The two words to describe this weekend is: GIRL TIME

Last Thursday, I was lucky to get the opportunity to help out with the fashion show for Wiksén during Oslo Fashion Week.  

Their new collection for SS13 Dreamgirls is inspired by the vibes of Motown, wanting women to feel chic, elegant dressed and delicious comfortable. To create the vibe and rhythm of the 70s Motown vibes, the designer has mixed heavy fabrics as leather or jersey with light fabrics as silk, chiffon and light viscose. 

I love the beautiful shade of the color blue which they have used in some of their dresses. And the leather items are fabulous, especially the pants. 

Wiksén is definitely a brand to watch.

Eye catching window displays

One of my best friends designed this window display logo for the flagship store of Moods of Norway in Oslo. She's such a talented individual. 

Spotted this at a vintage store in Oslo while I was waiting for the tram. 

For those times when "judging a book by its cover" is needed.  Window displays are a source of inspiration for me, especially when they are really good.. go figure, ha!  When I was living in Paris, I loved to just go for walks around Gallerie Lafayette, Champs-Elyseés, rue de Saint Germain,  Monmartre, and all those small street corners I have forgotten the name of, and just look at the boutique's window displays.

The sky is grey and rain drops are pouring down from the clouds on this Monday in August.  I've spent my day making some new jewelry, my new hobby!  Made this bracelet with peace marks on it with a little white cross in the middle. I received a new book in the mail last week(In Fashion by Annemarie Iverson.) Can't wait to read it.

It's the last Monday of the month, August is soon to arrive. So I'm starting this week with the motto: "Act like a lady. Think like a boss." One month left of summer vacation, and time to prepare for my next move.

Why did I miss this monsieur while I lived in Paris????  Just read this article about Pierre Sarkozy on telegraph.co.uk. Love his style. Would love to see him play at a club one time. Hope he'll come to LA sometime soon.
