RISØR - Family visit

Went on a daytrip to the south of Norway to Risør today. Visited my brother, his wife, and my nephew Nathaniel who's 1, 5 yrs old. Super cute!

Here are some photos from my last weeks in Paris. It was an amazing semester abroad, I'm so happy I went, I've met some wonderful people. The moments in Paris will always be cherished in my heart. 

Summer is here, and I'm spending it in Norway. Returning to California again in the end of August.

I'm back home in Norway now,  my Parisian adventure has had its ending for this time around. I will be back one day for sure though.
More updates to come, now I need to change into a bikini and soak some sun! It's so nice outside today!

S.T.U.D.Y

My last weekend in Paris & I'm stuck studying.....! At least the sun is shining outside, so I have been able to go to the park nearby to get a break from reading.  On Thursday I went to the catacombs, it was something completely different from what I have seen before. Millions of skeletons way down underneath the ground. It got really hot that day, so we went around the Seine buying some last minute souvenirs to bring back home and had a nice lunch outside. I'll post pictures from that day in my next post.

Now I have a couple of more hrs of studying ahead of me before I'm leaving to Montmatre to meet up with my friend for some wining&dining.
Last Saturday in Paris.... still can't believe it! It's bittersweet.. Going to miss the city of Paris, but I'm also really looking forward to seeing my friends and family in Norway.

Tour Eiffel

FINALLY! Yesterday, I went up to the top of The Eiffel Tower for the first time. About time after being in Paris for almost 4 months now. Well, I had waited for the "perfect" day to go, but the weather hasn't been the best lately, but yesterday the sun finally came out.  It was a beautiful day! Went with my friend Paula who's actually moving back to the US tomorrow. My parisian adventure is really coming to an end soon.. c'est triste.
The view from the Eiffel Tower was amazing! We walked up the first two floors, almost 700 steps, aka good cardio work out.

Just entered a week full of studying, therefore Summer Inspiration is needed

Happy Wednesday! Just had my first final today, french final. I have 1 more day of classes left on Friday. And my last 4 finals next week. It's exactly one week left of school. So I went on pinterest.com. Love this website. Please follow me if you're on pinterest (Emily S.)

Doing some sightseeing later today,I'm trying to fit in all the things I want to see in Paris before I leave next Friday and to study enough for my remaining finals.. Too much to do, too little time....

Do more of what makes you happy

Monday is over, and I had my last class in French and International Business today. First final on Wednesday.  10 days left in Paris, crazy! This weekend I was able to cross out some points on my to-do list of things I need to see&do before I leave. Thursday, I had a great lunch sitting outside in the sun and enjoying a glass or two of red wine. I also went to the Pére Lachaise cemetery. Friday, I went for drinks with some girls at Buddha Bar. Awesome place, loved it. Then we went walking around Champs-Elysées and watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle before the lights came off for the night.  Saturday, I went for a walk and took pictures of the park where I run at almost everyday here. The sun was shining, and I had one of those " I love my life right now" moments. Then I met up with Stefanie and Stephanie at Place Monge. I finally had my first crepe avec nutella et banane. It was sooo gooood! We had green tea at SugarPlum, yummy. Ended the night with sushi dinner, Irish bars, and Vip room.
